Unite in Africa Focus Areas

Media

Africa’s media landscape is rapidly evolving, with new opportunities emerging in content creation, distribution, and consumption. From Super Bowl ads targeting the African market to the latest Rema X Selena Gomez collaboration and platforms like Boomplay, the world’s savviest creatives and brands are beginning to understand that they need a strategy to connect with Africa’s young and fast-growing population. Unite in Africa is partnering with industry leaders to identify and invest in innovative media ventures that reflect the diverse voices and perspectives of Africa.

Fintech

Africa’s fintech ecosystem is one of the most dynamic in the world, with a growing number of startups and established players driving the industry toward financial inclusion, interoperability, and economic growth. We connect investors to the most promising digital payments opportunities in the region and support the development of innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of African consumers and businesses.

AI

Artificial intelligence presents a transformational opportunity for Africa’s economic growth and development. Analysts estimate that AI could expand Africa’s economy by $1.5 trillion by 2030—about 50% of its current GDP. This massive potential underscores how critical it is that Africa develop its own AI capabilities and African stakeholders have a strong voice in shaping the global AI agenda. Unite in Africa is committed to supporting African-led AI initiatives, fostering local talent in the field, and promoting collaborations between African and global AI leaders to ensure the continent harnesses this technology in advantageous, sustainable ways.

Approach

Africa is a complex and complicated marketplace, with manifold diverse cultures, 54 national economies, and dozens of federal and regional regulations—all of which make building and scaling across multiple markets difficult. At Unite in Africa, we operate with the core premise that a pan-African approach will unlock the continent’s full potential, and we work with governments and other institutions to reduce market barriers. By fostering greater integration and cooperation among African nations and their economies, we create larger, more competitive markets, attract more investment, and ultimately drive sustainable growth across the continent.

Unite in Africa provides business development, connects investors to opportunities, and offers strategic guidance to companies intent on entering African markets or expanding their work on the continent. By combining our deep knowledge of local markets, global perspective and expertise, and extensive network across government, technology, and creative sectors, we are uniquely positioned to identify and develop the best business opportunities across vital sectors.
